Relaxation techniques help to reduce pain and muscle tension, and can improve poor sleep habits. There are many types, including breathing exercises and meditation.

Support Groups. Pain can send you into a downward spiral of fatigue, low mood and anxiety. Talking to others in similar situations can help.

Distraction techniques. Distracting from the pain with an activity or hobby you enjoy.

Developing good sleeping habits. Go to bed at the same time every night, getting up at the same time every morning and avoiding naps

Friends and family. Keeping in touch with friends and family is good for overall health and well-being. Aim to talk about anything other than your pain.
