Maria Walsh is a Chartered Physiotherapist and member of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists (ISCP). Maria graduated with a Bachelor of Science Honours Degree (BSc Hons) in Sport science in Canterbury Christchurch University in 2006 and graduated with an MSc in Physiotherapy from University of East Anglia in 2009.

Originally from Wexford, Maria began her university degree in 1995 to study equine science in Wales, from there she spent 4 years living and working in Kentucky in the USA. This ensued further work and travel in North and South America, Australia, Asia, France and the UK. Maria returned to the UK to study as a mature student in 2003.

Maria returned to Ireland in 2009. She has spent the last 10 years working in private practice. During this time the experience she gained from working in private practice with such knowledgeable colleagues set her up for a love of treating musculoskeletal injury and pain conditions. She has completed numerous post graduate courses to enhance her skill set and offer more to her clients. Maria is a qualified pilates teacher. She has completed training through the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute, teaching both beginner and more advanced levels, as well as pregnancy and post natal pilates. She completed her orthotic and prescription insole training in 2010. She has extensive experience in assessing and prescribing orthotics for both adults and children.

More recently in the last 2 years she has been working on a part time basis for the HSE primary care team. Here she has established strong working links with many disciplines within primary care, she has also gained a sound understanding of HSE care pathways.
Maria established Maria Walsh Chartered Physiotherapy Clinic in 2016 and is committed to providing the best care possible in a friendly, supportive, custom-built clinic. Her Clinic has grown into a busy clinic with referrals coming from local GPs, consultants, and self referrals from clients and sporting teams. Maria Prides her work ethic and dedication to helping clients achieve relief of their symptoms or achieving their goals.
