Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy
Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy
Musculoskeletal pain is often caused by an injury to the bones, joints, muscles, tendons, ligaments or nerves. This can be caused by jerking movements, car accidents, falls, fractures, sprains, dislocations and direct blows to the muscle.
Musculoskeletal pain and injury can include:
- Aching or stiffness of the entire body.
- Fatigue.
- Sleep Disturbances.
- The feeling that your muscles have been pulled or overworked.
- Twitching muscles.
Musculoskeletal pain can be treated by getting to the root cause, this can vary depending on whether the individual is experiencing bone, muscle, ligament, tendon or joint pain. Treatments are tailored to the individual based on their initial assessment. Exercise programmes, postural re-education and advice are always provided after each treatment and the number of treatments will vary depending on the patient’s progress in achieving their goals.
