Care of the Older Person

As we age, our body and our daily lifestyle changes, our joints may become stiff, and muscles may become weak. Also, as we age there can be a decline in our balance.

These changes are challenging and can at times challenge us to keep going, to keep us mobile independent and self sufficient in our activities of daily life. The importance of keeping active cannot be underestimated as we age.

Physiotherapy can have an incredibly positive effect on enhancing and promoting functional independence on an individual basis. Whether it be to keep your loved one in their own home for longer, maintain current mobility levels within the home, or return to a very active lifestyle. A full assessment by our chartered Physiotherapist will examine balance, mobility levels, endurance and overall strength of you or your loved one. Treatment can be carried out in the clinic or your home. A specific exercise programme will be prescribed practiced and agreed upon. Suitable mobility aids and appliances can be supplied if needed to assist you in your mobility needs.
